Petrie Family Vacation

We spent almost the entire month of July at the beach. Lucky us!!!! This time, we flew to South Carolina and spent the week in Hilton Head with my family. I was pretty nervous flying with a (just turned) 2 year old and a 10 month old. They did pretty well.... minus Brooks laying down on the floor in the middle of security at the Atlanta Airport. Oops!! The boy did not like that lady taking his stroller away. Oh well.... We made it though! Brooks now LOVES the beach. My little prince is now ok with the sand. Of course Parker still loves to EAT the sand. We had a WONDERFUL trip!

10 Months Old and Life With My Toddler Boy!!!

Can you believe Parker Kurtz is 10 months old?? This baby boy has come SO FAR! We've had another fun month... mostly at the beach! But we've had fun at home too. Parker is becoming a very independent baby boy! He is walking with his walking toy, waving bye bye, clapping his hands, saying "go," and eating a lot of table foods. We haven't found anything that Parker doesn't like to eat! We've come a LONG way from the feeding tube. Parker was sick for a couple of days this month. But guess what?? I've found a pattern!!! Yep, a pattern to Parker's CVS episodes. For the past three episodes, Parker has gotten sick every four weeks on the dot and his episodes are lasting two days each time. We have his round of doctor appointments next week. I don't anticipate any changes being made since he is doing so well. Yeah Parker!!!

Brooks has had a great month too! Brooks is talking more and more. His clearest words are Daddy, Momma, Parker, and NO! Yep, we've hit the no stage. Everything is "no." I honestly don't even think he knows how to say yes. Brooks continues to love books and trains, but he also now loves blocks. He will build block towers forever. He's a good little builder! We've also discovered that Brooks is a lefty! Just like the majority of males in my family, he eats and writes (colors) with his left hand.
