Welcome to the Kurtz Family! I am from south Georgia but married a NOLA boy. He swept me off my feet and moved me to the great state of Louisiana. Together we've created a precious family of two sweet boys.... only 14.5 months apart. We are busy! Brooks is silly, giggly and so much fun! Parker is sweet, cuddly, and so loving. You wouldn't know it by looking at him, but Parker has a rare disease called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. We are learning to deal with CVS as a family and keep Parker as healthy as possible!

Parker Samuel is born!

Psalm 139:14
"For you are fearfully and wonderfully made."

Sweet Parker Samuel Kurtz arrived 10 days early on September 18th at 2:25am. We are very thankful for a quick and smooth delivery! Parker weighed 7 pounds 7.4 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. He surprised us both with beautiful strawberry-blonde hair! He is a sweet, sweet baby and his big brother is more and more interested in him each day. We are adjusting to being parents of two under two!

This is from a book in Parker's nursery. On the Night You Were Born. I've read this book to both boys a lot lately and had no idea that our baby would look so much like the strawberry-blonde baby in the book!

"On the night you were born,
the moon shone with such wonder
that the stars peeked in
to see you
and the night wind whispered,
'Life will never be the same.'
Because there had never been
anyone like you...
ever in the world."

A Letter To Our First Born Baby Boy!

It is hard to believe that in just a week and a half, we will welcome a second baby boy. Our baby boy Brooks has made our lives so special. We've never smiled so much, taken so many pictures, and been so silly as we are now.

A friend just shared this letter with me that she'd written in her son's baby book:

Dear First Born,
I've always loved you so very much because you were our first miracle. You were the genesis of a marriage and the fulfillment of young love. You were new, had unused parents, and enough clothes for a set of triplets. You were the original model for a mom and dad who were trying to work the bugs out. You got all the monogrammed clothes, the new toys, your own schedule, and complete undivided attention (even as you slept!). You were the beginning!

We love you so much, sweet Brooks! Thank you for being the 1st love of our lives!
